5 CANBERRA FESTIVALS YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS!

5 CANBERRA FESTIVALS YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS!

These top 5 Canberra festivals are a must do! If I had a dollar for every time I’ve heard someone say Canberra is boring, I would probably be writing this post while relaxing in an overwater bungalow in Bora Bora, sipping on Moet (my dream holiday, btw). But sadly, this comes to you from my couch in Kingston with David Attenborough playing in the background. That does not mean the common sentiment about Canberra being boring doesn’t come up often. I’ll be the first to admit that Canberra is no Melbourne or Sydney…Read more …

Awesome beauty hacks for the everyday gal (and guy). I found this awesome infographic today of beauty hacks put together by Infographic Journal and thought that I simply had to share, because who knew Vaseline could be used for eye make-up removal! RUBICON CANBERRA – FOOD AND BEER DEGUSTATION REVIEW

RUBICON CANBERRA – FOOD AND BEER DEGUSTATION REVIEW

Rubicon Canberra is a fine dining restaurant located at Griffith shops. Rubicon serves contemporary Australian cuisine and great wines. THE O.M.G. CHEESE TOAST WITH AN INDIAN TWIST

This is the O.M.G cheese toast with a twist. An Indian twist. This recipe can be changed to suit all taste buds - add in or leave out any of the ingredients for variety. I would recommend leaving in the cheese, though :) I suggest using good quality cheese. The cheese I used I purchased from my local market deli and asked the lady for suggestions. She picked some great cheeses for me. The best part is I've got left overs in the fridge to have with some wine later. Let me say…Read more …

Moving to Canberra, or any new city, IS a big deal. It doesn’t matter how many times you’ve done it before, leaving your comfort zone for something new will always be a unique experience. When I moved to Canberra I thought I knew it all. I had just spent the last few months living in England and just before then, in Dubai. I was seasoned, so how hard could Canberra be? It was hard! There were highs and lows and everything in between. But eventually, things settled down. So take it all in…Read more …
